Beide nutzen den Intel Core Duo. So bleibt Apple die Schmach erspart einen Pentium einsetzen zu müssen 
Der erste Intelbasierte Desktop Mac ist der iMac der mit einigen interessanten Leistungsdaten aufwarten kann, optisch aber nicht vom PowerPC iMac zu unterscheiden ist:

Allein die Grafikkarte ist für Macverhältnisse sauschnell. Besonders toll ist aber die geringe Bauhöhe von gerade mal 1" und die integrierte Webcam namens iSight. Auch gut ist die integration des Netzteils ins Notebook. Apple weiß eben doch immer wieder aufs Neue zu überraschen:
