Und zwar habe ich ein Problem, habe mein PC erst neu Formatiert und seidem habe ich nur noch 2,4 gb A.speicher stat 3 gb. Hatte vorher win xp 64 bit drauf und jetzt win xp Professional SP 2. Weiß jemand woran das liegen könnte ???? BITTE UM HILFE !!!!

Kann es sein, dass Deine neue XP Version eine 32 Bit Version ist?Schraube mir gerade selber ein neues System zusammen, und in
meinem Mainboard-Handbuch heisst es: "If you install 4x 1GB
memory modules, the system may recognize less than 3GB, because
the address space is reserved for other critical functions. This limitation
appears on XP/Vista 32bit operation systems, which does not support
Physical Address Extension (PAE)".Es wird dort ausserdem empfohlen, weniger als 3 GB zu installieren,
sofern man ein 32 bittiges Betriebssystem verwendet.Gruß, Oliver

3GB sind aber auch ohne PAE kein Problem

Ich bin halt kein Hardwaregott, sondern nur ein kleiner Noob
War halt das erste was mir einfiel. Wollte selbst 4GB auf mein
Board stecken, aber das Mainboadmanual riet mir davon ab.
Drum sinds jetzt erst mal nur 2GB, solange bis ich ein 32Bit

Leider denken das immer wieder welchePS: du meinst aber sicher 64bit OS.

die nichtunterstützung von pae des win xp ist aba quark, da schon seit sp2 dies automatisch aktiviert werden sollte wenn der prozti nx-bit unterstützt!

ganz im gegenteil. im SP2 von XP wurde es erst rausgenommen
und Oliver es geht genau darum was oben steht XP und Vista als 32bit können das nicht

Irgendwo hat einer von M$ erzählt das sie es auf 3,2GB mit SP2 reduziert haben. -

PAE und NX Bit(Intel Version) und (den Namen von der AMD Version hab ich vergessen - ist aber ja dasselbe) haben NICHTS miteinander zu tun.
Zum rest sage ich nichts...das wurde schon so oft durchgekaut.....hat keinen Zweck
