"Taipei 23 Jan 2002- The impressive range of high quality, good value video cards now offered by First International Computer, Inc. (FIC) has been enjoying global success and very favorable media attention since it began. FIC’s strong alliance with graphic giant ATI® has given the company access to the full range of ATI® firmware products and the resultant range of VGA cards have been a real winner. Two new products, the A97 and A97P have now been launched.

The A97 and A97P cards are based on the ATI® Radeon™ 9700 and 9700 Pro Visual Processing Units (VPU) respectively. Both models feature 128MB of on-board DDR video memory, 256 bit memory interface and support for AGP4x/8x and DirectX® 9.0. Maximum resolution is 2048 x 1536 and multiple screens can be driven simultaneously. Each model supports interfaces for VGA, TV-out and DVI-I.
Advanced 3D features include SMARTHEADER™2.0, SMOOTHVISION™2.0, HYPER Z™ III, TRUFORM™2.0 and VIDEOSHADER™. Windows® ME, 2000 and XP operating systems are all supported and bundled software includes the popular WinDVD software. The A97P has a core/memory clock speed of 325/310MHz and the A97 has a core memory clock speed of 275/270MHz...
